Contacts are a non-invasive alternative to LASIK and PRK, and they are more discrete than eyeglasses. Although contact lenses are most often associated with treating nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism (refractive problems), depending on a patient's unique needs, contacts can also be used to treat keratoconus and other more severe eye conditions.
